De Franse Baptiste Herbin is een veelzijdige saxofonist en zowel een gewaardeerde bandleider als veelgevraagd sideman. Hij is een wereldster in Frankrijk maar is zelden te zien in Nederland. Hij komt speciaal naar de Sax Summit met zijn trio waarin Sylvain Romano op contrabas en André Ceccarelli op drums. Zijn laatste album is getiteld 'Django!' waarmee hij zijn hedendaagse visie geeft op het werk van Django Reinhardt. Het resultaat is een originele persoonlijke benadering en een levendig eerbetoon aan deze geniale musicus.

Nominated for the Victoires du Jazz in 2013 thanks to his first album ” Brother Stoon “, Prix Django Reinhardt and elected musician of the year 2019 by the jazz academy, Baptiste Herbin is one of the top international musicians.
Hij is te horen op meer dan 50 albums en werkte met grootheden als Roy Hargrove, Marcus Gilmore, Jean-Michel Pilc, Darryl Hall, Billy Hart, Mark Turner, Eric Harland en begeleidde Charles Aznavour tot 2014.
