Emma Rawicz behoort tot de snelst rijzende sterren van de Europese jazz. Met haar muzikale souplesse en soulvolle, opzwepende melodieën stond de Britse saxofoniste inmiddels op de grote internationale festivals en bracht ze alom bejubelde albums uit op het platenlabel ACT. Muzikaal gezien klinkt INKYRA minstens zo kleurrijk als zijn voorganger CHROMA, die met een andere bezetting werd opgenomen. De muziek varieert van de spirituele sound van de jaren zestig tot synthesizerklanken die neigen naar progrock, maar herbegt ook Braziliaanse ritmes, recht-toe-recht-aan jazz en opzwepende indiebeats.
