Based in both Berlin and London, Swedish composer BJ Nilsen is primarily focused on the sound of nature and its effects on humans. His two latest solo albums Eye Of The Microphone (2013) – a personal audio rendition based on London city sounds – and The Invisible City (2010), have explored the urban acoustic realm.

Edgars Rubenis played guitar in slowcore band Mona de Bo before moving to The Hague to study sonology. His solo work mainly focuses on the relationships between individual sounds more so than on how they’re strung together in harmonic or melodic sequences. Rubenis’ most recent output shifts towards minimalism and drone music. Part of the Moving Furniture Records curated line-up.

Glasgow’s Ruaridh Law is a busy man. From his formative years as one third of electronica heroes The Marcia Blaine School For Girls, through further experimental work as The Village Orchestra, on to dancefloor-focused releases as the foreshortened TVO, his prolific release schedule is only matched by the grandeur of his ambition.
